The first one was a fluffy rice pie, fried in a pan, that serves as bread. The second one was Kimchi, one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted - a quite splatter-like (see main photo) Arab cabbage recipe, they marinate it into a spicy red pepper sauce. And the third one was Bibimbap, that is a salad with rice, sliced and diced vegetables, eggs, tuna and a special Korean sauce on the top. As you may see in the photos below, it all literally disappeared from the serving dishes in ten minutes time, till the last bite of it.
The whole magic is on the preparation. All of the kids, Jung, Sienna, Bohyeon, Jihoon and Ted were seriously focused on what they were doing, not only to make it taste nice, but also to assure a great appearance and presentation - and that's where good appetite starts from, as we all know. Enjoy the photos I took of them while they were working on it and of course, the result before and after we've placed it on the the table!
Thank you, guys!
Asia meets Middle East - spices from Korea and Israel to be used into our cooking.
Preparation for a Korean meal has a lot to do with presentation...
Chopping zucchini in really thin slices is a must.
All five of them are involved in the procedure and really focused on it.
Hm, I don't remember where they put those apples, but the result was great.
Preparing the special sauce for the Kimchi, the marinated cabbage.
Well, there goes the apple, it's part of the Kimchi marinade.
Kimchi sauce ready to be used. Yes, it's really spicy.
The vegetables are already cut for the Bibimbap salad.
The art of slicing. Do it like a real Korean.
Looks lite splatter, but it ain't.
The fluffy rice pie, instead of bread.
In order to get the real taste, you have to purchase real Korean sauces.
That's the Bibimbap salad, ready to be consumed.
The table is ready, we're about to start tasting all we made!
Some cards that describe what each plate is where also on the site.
And that's what's left behind after ten minutes.........
